In the QMAP Live Final Exam, you will demonstrate your competency and skills, including administration of medication and infection prevention.
-
The QMAP training does not lead to a certification or a license. You will be considered qualified to administer medications as a Qualified Medication Administration Person (QMAP).
Your QMAP status is verified and recorded in the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment QMAP registry at https://cdphe.colorado.gov/qmap/qmap-verification. Online verification is the only official means of verifying a QMAP status.
-
QMAP can only be taught by a “qualified instructor”, which means a nurse, pharmacist, physician, or physician assistant with an active, unrestricted Colorado license.
-
Your QMAP does not expire; however, it is your ethical duty to keep your knowledge and skills current and accurate.
